Redskins help score big pizza sales at D.C.-area Papa John's

The Washington Post: Hoping to spike otherwise soft Monday sales, Papa John's stores in and around Washington, D.C., are giving away two toppings per pizza for every touchdown scored by the Washington Redskins in their weekly games. When the football team scored seven TDs on Oct. 23, some customers ordered 14-topping pizzas. One local Papa John's area director said pizza sales per store typically number 180 pies on Mondays, but he expected area units would average 750 pies per store on Oct. 24.
