Russo's plans major expansion in Middle East

Russo's Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen is moving into the Middle East. Chef Anthony Russo is seeking multi-franchise partners to meet growth plans calling for more than 50 restaurants by 2020, according to a company press releases.

The brand has already opened seven franchise locations in the United Arab Emirates since 2013, and plans to open Dubai's first coal-fired brick pizza oven in spring of next year when the first Russo's Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen and Mozzarella Bar opens for business at The Pointe, with franchisee partner, Prime Hospitality. 

The brand is also developing 10 new Russo's New York pizzeria locations in the UAE and 10 more in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These will join the seven now currently operating in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai.
