MELVILLE, N.Y. — In an effort to tap into the teen scene, Sbarro has extended its partnership promotion with LidRock to introduce British pop music sensation Busted to the U.S.
LidRock CDs and DVDs are double-purpose discs that serve as lids for fountain soft-drink bought at the 900-unit Italian-themed chain. In addition to Sbarro, KFC, McDonald's and Blimpie have run LidRock promos.
According to a press release, Sbarro launched its first LidRock promo in August 2003, with CDs from bands Lifehouse, Boomkat, 40 Foot Echo and Kooler Kids.
The Busted mini-CD-ROM can be played in a computer for full access to the interactive entertainment.
