Slice House by Tony Gemignani will open its first Contra Costa County location on October 17, the company has announced in a news release.
The restaurant is owned by local partners Nitin and Mansi Bhatia, who aim to create a community gathering place while supporting local job growth. The grand opening will begin at 11 a.m., with T-shirts for the first 50 guests and a raffle for the chance to win free pizza for one year.
The new location will offer Gemignani's New York, Sicilian, Grandma and Detroit-style pizzas by the slice or as whole pies, alongside pasta, wings and fresh salads. The menu also includes gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options, with beverages ranging from craft beer and wine to nonalcoholic selections.
Emphasizing from-scratch preparation and quality ingredients, the restaurant also will introduce two exclusive New York-style pizzas inspired by Brentwood's agricultural heritage and local corn. The Brentwood BBQ features pulled pork, barbecue sauce, mozzarella, Brentwood corn, tortilla strips, peppers and garlic oil, while the vegetarian A Slice of Brentwood combines mozzarella, corn, tortilla strips and peppers with Tajín aioli and garlic oil. Both specialty pizzas will be available by the slice only.
The opening expands Slice House's presence across Northern California, introducing the brand's range of pizza styles and fast-casual dining format to Brentwood and the greater East Contra Costa County community.
