Straw Hat Pizza raising funds for Breast Cancer Foundation

In recognition of October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and National Pizza Month, Straw Hat Pizza will hold a month-long fundraiser at its units nationwide.

From Oct. 1 through Oct. 31, Straw Hat will donate $2 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) for every Queen-sized pizza sold.

Additionally, during October the chain will donate 10 cents to the nonprofit for every new fan (up to 50,000 new fans) on Straw Hat's Facebook page.

"We hope pizza fans come out to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation during our special pizza month fundraiser and help us reach our goal of raising $10,000," said Jonathan Fornaci, president, Straw Hat Pizza.

The Queen-sized pizza is 18 inches and feeds approximately five to six people.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation's mission is to increase awareness of breast cancer through education and by providing mammograms to those in need.
