A Chuck E. Cheese's unit in Brazoria County, Texas, has applied for a liquor license, angering many parents in the area.
According to KHOU News, a group of protestors have expressed concern over the need to have alcohol available, the potential increase of drinking and driving, and the potential increase of rowdiness at the restaurant.
A Michigan Chuck E. Cheese's temporarily halted the sale of alcohol in 2008 after several fights were reported.
A spokesperson for the chain said it just wants to provide parents with a choice, and that 70 percent of Chuck E. Cheese's locations offer beer or wine.
No date has been set for the hearing with a county judge to determine whether or not the application will be accepted.
