WHITEWATER, Wis. -- Toppers Pizza has begun construction on two stores in Wisconsin in the cities of West Allis and Milwaukee. Each store will be giving away free food for a year to the first 50 customers.
Customers have stood in line for as long as 26 hours in previous giveaways, Toppers officials said.
Franchisees John Kubisiak and Greg Morrison, who own Toppers Pizza locations in Wauwatosa and Waukesha, have finalized a franchise agreement, started construction and are expected to open their third store in West Allis within the next couple months.
The president and founder of Toppers Pizza, Scott Gittrich, has started construction on his sixth store, located in Milwaukee, and also expects to open within the next few months.
