WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich.—Two men assaulted and shot at a pizzeria employee in an attempted carjacking shortly after midnight on June 9.
According to ClickOnDetroit.com, an 18-year-old employee of Dolly's Pizza was emptying trash outside the unit when a pair of men demanded his car keys.
Police reports say one of the men struck the employee in the head with an aluminum baseball bat as he got into his car and attempted to leave. The other man then fired a shotgun twice at the employee's car, striking its driver's-side door.
Police say the victim drove to the police department, where he was transported to a nearby hospital, treated for a head injury and released.
