Vapiano signs deal for Texas market

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Vapiano has signed an agreement with University of Houston graduate student Soomyee Song to open five units throughout Houston. Song's first restaurant is slated to open by June 2009, and all five should be open by 2014.
 
Song and husband Eugene, a marketing executive with LG Electronics, plan to open their first location in the Galleria area of Houston. Other possible sites include Woodland, Sugarland and Champion Forest.
 
Vapiano's menu features pizza, pasta and salads. The company currently has four U.S. locations open in Washington, D.C., and Ft. Myers, Fla., and more than 30 restaurants worldwide.
