Your Pie makes a 'date' with sweet and salty

Your Pie is putting the sweet and salty flavors of dates and bacon front and center. A news release said that now through the end of February, diners may order a bacon-and-date pizza or a chopped salad.

The pizza version features a base of olive oil, along with mozzarella, balsamic onions, bacon and Medjool dates that after baking is topped with an arugula-and-Parmesan salad tossed in balsamic vinaigrette and drizzled with bleu cheese dressing, all on a hand-tossed dough crust. The salad version features spinach and arugula topped with bacon, dates, red onion and Parmesan, tossed with balsamic vinaigrette and finished with a bleu cheese drizzle.

"The Bacon and Date Pie is one of our favorites because it was a collaborative effort with our Indio franchisees," Your Pie Founder and President Drew French, said in the release. "As soon as they shared the idea, we were intrigued and knew we had to feature it in our seasonal Craft Series menu. ... We received great feedback from last year's Pear and Gorgonzola Salad and look forward to sharing this newest salad creation with guests."
