Yum China shutters 2 Pizza Huts due to food safety violations

Several Pizza Huts in China have been forced to close due to food safety violations, according to a Seeking Alpha report.

Two units in Beijing closed due to "poor sanitation", using expired ingredients and selling expired food, according to a report in the state-backed Global Times.

Another 45 units are now under scrutiny for improper hygiene standards and safety practices.

Yum China Holdings posted on social media, saying it is cooperating with the investigation.
