Connecting to the community to create customer loyalty is something Chris Caneen, owner of Pizza Gallery & Grill in Florida, understands.
He's operated his restaurant for 23 years, where he employs a curator to display local and national artwork. Caneen also sponsors community events, such as blood drives and concerts, and hosts family nights and poker tournaments to get even more face time with his customers.
One of Caneen's most successful events is the annual Run for Pizza. Click here to watch him describe the September event that attracted more than 1,000 runners, who -- if they weren't already -- are probably loyal customers after eating all the free pizza they could handle.
