Boston's Pizza Restaurant 'lightens the load' for spring

Boston's Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar has launched a lighter spring menu featuring grilled romaine salad, roasted pepper pizza and stuffed chicken, all available through May 20. The sports-oriented eatery is also working now to attract a March Madness audience with its Pint & A Pizza special, which runs March 13 through April 2, a news release said. 

That weekday special will include one domestic pint plus one three-topping individual pizza for less than $10, with a featured campaign beer of Miller Lite and a sugarless "game-shape margarita."

"While we tend to offer more comfort-style food with a focus on our core product, gourmet pizza, we're always looking for ways to stay relevant with consumer trends and marrying that with our classic offering," Boston's Senior Director of Marketing Catie Borger said in the release. "This campaign encompasses a really fun, energetic time of year, including March Madness, so we wanted to introduce lighter fare with a focus on sports, hence the 'spring training trio.'"  

Boston's U.S. operations are based in Dallas, and the concept currently has 25 locations in 16 states. Sister brand Boston Pizza has more than 400 locations across Canada, the release said.
