California Pizza Kitchen launching new menu in the Philippines

To celebrate "National Pizza Day" in the Philippines Aug. 15, California Pizza Kitchen is launching a new menu and giving away free pizza.

According to ABS-CBN News, Aug. 15 also marks the opening of the first CPK unit in the country by the chain's local franchisee, Global Restaurant Concepts Inc.

CPK has had a presence in the Philippines for 15 years.

The new menu includes Proscuitto Pizza, with Italian prosciutto, fresh arugula, mozzarella, shaved Parmesan and sliced tomatoes on a caramelized thin crust; and Vegetarian Pizza, with grilled eggplant, fresh button mushrooms, red onion, sundried tomatoes, roasted corn, broccoli, goat cheese and pine nuts on a marinara sauce and mozzarella thin crust.

Other dishes include the Lasagna Milanese, Black Seafood Pomodoro, Mu Shu Chicken Calzone, Cheese Steak Sandwich, Fried Mozzarella Sticks, Quesadilla, Spinach with Gorgonzola and Asian Chicken Wrap.
