At 10 Chuck E. Cheese's locations throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, the brand surprised moms with impromptu spa treatments, including massages and manicures as well as samples of new menu items, according to a company press release.
The company surprise treatments were part of how the chain is rolling out new menu geared toward parents' palates. New adult-friendly items include a thin and crispy pizza and two new pizza recipes, the BBQ Chicken and Cali Alfredo. Other new menu items include sandwich wraps, churros, new boneless buffalo wing flavors and breadsticks, which can be served with soda, beer or wine.
Chuck E. Cheese's launched the spa day treatments to recognize moms for the suggestions they provided the company to improve its food and other amenities.
"We've been talking directly to moms, and they've given us a lot of great ideas to improve the Chuck E. Cheese experience," said Tom Leverton, CEO of CEC Entertainment Inc. "Chuck E. Cheese's has been giving families a safe place for fun, great food, and lasting memories for almost 40 years. With these new additions, now it will be even better for parents and children alike."
Award-winning executive chef Gregory Casale, who recently created an expanded test kitchen at the company's new Dallas headquarters, created the menu. Similar tasting events are planned for stores in Chicago, Atlanta, Tampa and New York City in the coming weeks. In addition to the new menu rollout, the company has added WiFi to all stores nationwide, the release said.
