Texas-based Chuck E. Cheese will pay $6,500 to a family whose daughter was injured while playing on a ride at a restaurant.
Cassandra Diggles filed the suit in December in Jefferson County District Court (Texas) after her daughter fell and hit her head on the corner of a ride, causing a laceration. According to the SE Texas Record, Chuck E. Cheese's filed its answer, claiming Diggles "failed to exercise ordinary care ... by failing to keep a proper lookout while playing at the restaurant."
On April 10, an agreed judgment for the minor was submitted, which states Chuck E. Cheese will pay $6,500 into the court registry on behalf of the minor.
The judgment seeks to have all claims dismissed with prejudice.
