Domino’s Canada commits to domestic-only cheese supply

October 16, 2014

Domino's Pizza of Canada has announced a partnership with Dairy Farmers of Canada by committing to using only cheese made from 100-percent Canadian milk on all its pizzas and other menu items.

Domino’s Pizza of Canada is based out of Leamington, Ontario.

"Domino's decision to only use cheese made from 100-percent Canadian milk is a natural one," President Michael Curran said in a news release. "Domino's is a strong believer in fresh, high quality and local products and is a proud supporter of Canadian dairy farmers."

According to a news release, Domino’s purchases more than 4.8 million kg of cheese each year for use in its menu items.

All Domino’s menus, pizza boxes and its website – dominos.ca – will include a 100-percent Canadian milk symbol.
