Domino's is expanding its Paving for Pizza program after having been steamrolled over by the pleas of more than 137,000 Americans across 15,275 zip codes in 50 states, who have begged the brand to fill their city's "holey roads" since the program launched last June, a news release said.
Of those, the brand has thus far filled potholes in five cities, including the most recent in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on Tuesday. The other four cities, according to the brand's pavingforpizza webpage, are Bartonville, Texas, Burbank, California, Athens, Georgia and Milford, Delaware.
Wilkes-Barre Mayor Tony George said it was a great service to his city.
"Potholes in Northeastern Pennsylvania are as prevalent as our region's love for pizza. I am incredibly grateful to Domino's assistance in repairing and patching our roads."
The brand said it would continue to take pothole-filling pleas until Dec. 31 this year. In the meantime it's plugging the streets in these next 10 cities:
