Domino's peps up Pepperoni Day with promo

As surely all pizza operators know, Thursday, Sept. 20, is National Pepperoni Pizza Day, and Domino's is promoting a special to cash in on the marketing holiday by offering customers a large, two-topping carryout pizza for $5.99 now through Sunday, Sept. 23.

"Maybe you prefer only pepperoni on your pizza, or maybe you like a couple of toppings — either way — all carryout customers can take advantage of this delicious offer," Domino's spokesperson Jenny Fouracre, said in a news release about the special. 

The weeklong deal is valid when customers order over the phone, in-store, at dominos.com, or via Domino's mobile ordering apps. This hulking pizza chain now has more than 15,100 stores in 85-plus markets and last year reported more than $12.2 billion of global retail sales.
