Domino's Pizza to intro new Philly Cheese Steak pie

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Domino's Pizza will roll out a new Philly Cheese Steak Pizza on Sept. 2.

According to a news release, the pizza is based on the famed sandwich of the same name, and topped with marinated slices of sirloin steak, onions, peppers, mushrooms and provolone.

During the introductory period, a medium will sell for $9.99; a second medium will cost $5 more.

Domino's also has tied up with the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA) for the promotion. According to the release, Domino's is the first national pizza chain to receive the beef industry's endorsement for its new pizza.

Starting Sept. 8, the U.S. beef industry's Beef Check-Off logo will ride on all Domino's advertising, including print and television, in support of the product launch.
