California Pizza Kitchen, or CPK for short, has named a former Snapchat marketing executive to lead its global marketing efforts. Scott Hargrove has been named as CPK executive vice president and global chief marketing officer, a position he moved into earlier this year to oversee marketing and growth initiatives for the 240+ unit chain, including brand and performance marketing, culinary innovation, social media, loyalty, communications and community engagement, a news release said.
Hargrove will reportedly amplify the brand through marketing and enhanced digital strategies. He most recently served as head of Brand and Consumer Marketing for Snap Inc., where he led consumer and product marketing for both Snapchat and Spectacles, the company's wearable camera hardware division. Previously, he spent 15 years at the Coca-Cola Company working on brands such as Sprite, Diet Coke, Powerade and vitaminwater, as well as a stint as global CMO for the World Surf League.
