Free webinar teaches restaurant operators how to cash in on tax credits

The free webinar, "Cash in on Hiring Tax Credits: How to get $1,200 back for 1 out of every 5 new hires," hosted this week by and PeopleMatter, is now available for download.

The hour-long webinar taught restaurant operators about tax deadlines and how to advantage of hiring tax credits. Tax credit expert Shannon Scott, acting CEO of TaxBreak, provided an overview on tax credit programs, including WOTC and FICA Tip, and attendees learned how to earn an average of $1,200 — and up to $9,600 — per qualified hire.

Other topics covered were:

  • Types of new hires that qualify for credits and how to collect credits for past hires;
  • Best practices and best solutions for tax credit screening, processing and collection; and
  • ROI seen by customers.

Concluding the webinar was a Q&A session with Scott, as well as Ginny Drinker, director of strategic marketing and events at PeopleMatter.
