GoWaiter.com, a growing restaurant delivery and catering business, will soon open for service in Fayetteville, N.C., according to a company press release.

The Orlando, Fla., based company, with delivery and catering services in more than 25 markets across the country, is currently signing up restaurants that want to share in the profits of delivery without the burden of staff and liability, said David Long, regional manager of GoWaiter.

GoWaiter.com provides professional delivery service for a growing number of restaurants. In Fayetteville, the service is expected to open in mid-December with a dozen or more restaurant locations. The service is aimed to be a convenience for families, business owners and military personnel who want restaurant food without leaving their home, hotel, work place or the base. GoWaiter will also offer delivery service to Ft. Bragg, N.C., Long said.

"Diners crave variety. We deliver great choices every day. Restaurant deliveries need to move beyond the traditional delivery options. Fayetteville is a strong market with its military roots and growing business community," he said.

GoWaiter pays the restaurant for the food and delivers for the same price as on the menu. Customers pay a small delivery fee.

The new Fayetteville GoWaiter franchise is owned and operated by Jovante Lynn along with other family members. Lynn is a Fayetteville native and former civilian contractor with Department of Defense.

"After coming home from Afghanistan and successfully completing my assignment, it is exciting to start my own GoWaiter franchise. The responses from the restaurants have been marvelous. We look forward to beginning food delivery before the busy holiday season," Lynn said.

GoWaiter offers delivery from more than 1,000 national chain and local restaurants.
