Hungry Howie's partners with DoorDash to overhaul digital ordering, loyalty program

Hungry Howie's and DoorDash have partnered to overhaul the pizza chain's digital ordering system, website, mobile app and loyalty program, according to a press relase.

The collaboration represents a significant enterprise partnership for the pizza category, moving beyond traditional marketplace delivery. Under the agreement, DoorDash will power Hungry Howie's branded web and mobile platforms, loyalty integrations and delivery fulfillment capabilities. This will support Hungry Howie's direct channels while the brand maintains its presence on the DoorDash marketplace app.

"We're strategically partnering with DoorDash because they offer more than just delivery. They give us an enterprise grade platform to modernize our ordering experience, drive digital sales growth, strengthen our connection with customers, and support our franchisees with one unified system," Steve Jackson, CEO of Hungry Howie's, said in the press release. "It's a meaningful step in how we show up for our guests, both online and at the door."

As part of the initiative, Hungry Howie's will invest heavily in its owned digital platforms to make web and mobile ordering faster and more intuitive. The company also plans to introduce a reimagined, points-based loyalty program in 2027 to give customers more flexibility in earning and redeeming rewards. Additionally, the brand will unify its customer feedback systems into a single platform to better track and respond to online reviews.

"Customers expect ordering to be simple, convenient, and consistent wherever they engage with a brand," KC Fox, general manager, commerce platform at DoorDash, said in the press release. "We're proud to work with Hungry Howie's to help power their digital ordering experience and support their efforts to connect with customers through their own channels while helping franchisees serve their communities."

The rollout begins immediately in select locations, using a phased approach to allow the brand to implement feedback and support franchisees during the transition. Hungry Howie's expects to have all of its locations fully transitioned to the new platform by the second quarter of 2027.
