Indiana pizza shop adds delivery service to busy farmers

October 22, 2012

One Indiana pizza shop has added a new service specifically delivering food to farmers in the area who are too busy working through harvest season.

According to the Journal & Courier, Buck Creek Pizza Co., in Buck Creek, Ind., added the unique service for farmers who don't have time to leave their fields during this busy season.

Owner Jay Mitchell told the publication that about 20 farmers have so far taken advantage of the "to-the-field" deliveries.

Mitchell adds that many farmers don't have time to take meal breaks during harvest season and eat in their trucks.
