Kotipizza Group subsidiary gets greenlight as Finland Subway distributor

Helsinki Foodstock Oy (Helsinki Foodstock), a sourcing and logistics operator owned by Kotipizza Group Oyj (Kotipizza Group), has received a letter of intent from EIPC Limited, a non-profit making organization owned by Subway franchisees in Europe, confirming the intention to extend Helsinki Foodstock's current contract to provide distribution services to Subway restaurants in Finland.

Helsinki Foodstock will continue to be responsible for managing the supply chain from suppliers to restaurants, according to a company press release

The final agreement is not estimated to have a material effect on Kotipizza Group's earnings in 2015.

EIPC, formed in 2001, was set up to enable Subway franchisees to gain from the financial and service discounts that come from purchasing and supplying products in large volumes, the release stated.

Helsinki Foodstock's major clients include the restaurants in the Kotipizza chain, Espresso House coffee shops operating in Finland, as well as Rolls restaurants. Kotipizza is a Finnish pizza chain founded in 1987.
