Mid-Atlantic Expo partners with NRA: Conserve

BALTIMORE — TheMid-Atlantic Food, Beverage and Lodging Expo, along with its co-producers, the Restaurant Association of Maryland (RAM), has joined forces with theNational Restaurant Association(NRA) in their efforts to support restaurant and foodservice locations as they become more eco-friendly.
 
In preparation for the 2008 Mid-Atlantic Expo, to be held Sept. 17-18 at the Baltimore Convention Center, NRA: Conserve worked closely with show management in developing three seminars designed to touch upon sustainability and conservation. The seminars include:
  • Practicing Green to Make Green — Sept. 17th at 1 p.m. in Room 347
  • Watching Your Waste — Sept. 17th at 10 a.m. in Room 347
  • Becoming Environmentally Sustainable in a Sustainable Way — Sept. 18th at 11 a.m. in Room 348
This year's expo also will feature a new "Green Pavilion," presented by the Green Restaurant Association. The pavilion is set to highlight an assortment of businesses, including the NRA: Conserve, that have been proactive in taking small steps and large strides toward becoming more eco-friendly.
