Mod Pizza gets $42M investment

Mod Pizza has raised an additional $42 million of equity, led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and PWP Growth Equity. This is the second round of funding this year for the chain, which has raised just under $150 million to date. 

"We believe that MOD's mission of making a positive social impact in the communities we serve has been a key factor in our success as we have expanded across the U.S. and the U.K.," said Mod Pizza co-founder and CEO Scott Svenson, in a news release. 

MOD has 177 locations in 19 states with plans to  expand next year into the U.K., as well as the U.S. states of Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Utah.
