Mod Pizza promotes 3 executives
Mod Pizza has promoted COO Paul Twohig to president and COO, Megan Hansen to senior vice president of people and Lisa Luebeck to senior vice president of legal and general counsel, a news release said.
"Each of them has been integral to our success over the past few years," Co-founder and CEO Scott Svenson, said in the release.
Twohig will continue to oversee daily operations while also leading store development, culinary, supply chain, innovation and international and franchise operations. He's been a board member since 2008, and joined the company formally in 2017 after his previous role as COO and executive vice president at Panera and 14 years at Starbucks.
Luebeck has been the company's first general counsel and vice president of legal since January 2016. She was formerly a corporate and securities. Hansen also joined the company later in 2016 and leads all elements of human resources and talent management for MOD after four years at Outerwall.
"Most importantly, they each exemplify MOD's core values and are strong champions of our mission to use the business to make a positive social impact," Co-founder and Chief Purpose Officer Ally Svenson, said in the release.
MOD recently announced results for 2017, which included system-wide* sales of $275 million (an 81% year-over-year increase), company net revenue of $219 million, the opening of 110 new locations system-wide (ending the year with 302 system-wide operating restaurants), expansion into seven states and same-store sales growth of 5.2 percent. Mod also donated more than $1 million to the many communities the company serves, including a $364,000 donation to Generosity Feeds to help feed hungry youth nationwide, according to the release.
