Mozzarella Fresca sold to Lactalis American Group

CONCORD, Calif.—Mozzarella Fresca Inc. announced March 7 its sale to Buffalo, N.Y.-based Lactalis American Group Inc., the U.S. holding company of Group Lactalis, a $10 billion worldwide dairy organization based in Laval, France.
Mozzarella Fresca produces fresh mozzarella, marinated fresh mozzarella, ricotta and mascarpone.
The transaction closed on March 6, 2007. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
