Papa John’s campaign leverages US/Germany World Cup match

A trip to the final 16 is on the line when the U.S./Germany World Cup match kicks off Thursday, and now Papa John’s is adding even higher stakes to the event.

If the U.S. team scores two goals Thursday, as it has during its previous two contests, Papa John’s will offer 50-percent off all large pizzas on June 27, with its “Score Twice Half Price” promotion. Customers can redeem the offer online only at by using the promo code: STHP.

 “So far this tournament has been a huge win for U.S. soccer fans and pizza fans alike,” CMO Bob Kraut said in a news release. “We’ve seen some exciting goal scoring in the first two matches, and we’ve been thrilled to help America celebrate with 50-percent off Papa John’s better quality pizza. We’re optimistic we’ll be celebrating again Friday.”
