Papa John's rush is on for MVP James Harden pizza

Houston-area basketball fans can celebrate this year's most valuable player award with a Papa John's pizza emblazoned with a black olive-adorned likeness to the league's MVP winner — Houston Rockets guard James Harden — a news release said. He's the 63rd person to win the honor.

The problem for the basketball-crazed fans in Texas, however, is that the chain is selling only 63 of the extra-large "MVPizzas."  Also, they are only available today and at one store, 8588 Westheimer Road in Houston, as a carryout-only deal. The giant-sized pies contain the following ingredients:  

• Black olives because of his trademark beard.
• three-cheese blend because of his league-leading 265 three-pointers.
• Jalapeños because of his hot shooting.
• Italian sausage because of his Euro step.
• Extra sauce because, as the news release put it, "Have you ever watched him play?"

Diners who fail to make one of the first spots in line today can also harvest a discount of half-off any pizza today when they enter a "Harden" promo code when ordering online from any of the 54 stores in Houston.
