Papa Murphy's jumps into pan pizza space

Papa Murphy's has introduced a new bake-at-home Fresh Pan Pizza, featuring a thicker, buttery crust, according to a news release.

"We know that one of the biggest challenges faced by families is getting a fresh made, high quality home-cooked dinner on the table every night, let alone a meal with fresh ingredients and vegetables," said CEO Ken Calwell.

Like all of Papa Murphy's pizzas, the Fresh Pan Pizza starts with dough, prepared fresh each day from flour, water and yeast.

"When our guests try our new 'Fresh Pan Pizza' they are going to taste the love that went into mixing the dough, cutting the vegetables and preparing the pizza that day. Everyone can taste the difference," Calwell said.

Papa Murphy's Fresh Pan Pizza joins the brand's thin, original and stuffed crusts.

Within the past year and a half, Domino's and Little Caesars have also both added a pan pizza crust to their menus.
