Papa Murphy's to double Kansas City presence

Papa Murphy's plans to add five new stores in Kansas City, Mo., this year, in addition to its existing 25 in the market. Throughout the next few years, the take-and-bake chain expects to have 50 total stores in the area, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.

Lindsi Taylor, the company's director of communications, told the publication that the market has been a good fit for the brand, and that Papa Murphy's has done "really good business there."

The impending five stores will be located in Lee's Summit, Mo., Overland Park, Kan., Shawnee, Kan., Roeland Park, Kan., and Raytown, Mo.

Papa Murphy's has also recently announced expansion plans in the Phoenix market, as well as in Canada.
