PETA names top vegan pizzerias

MINNEAPOLIS -- The animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has voted Pizza Luce in Minneapolis as the top vegan-friendly pizzeria in the country. The pizzeria offers a wide selection of mock meats, soy cheese, fresh vegetables and vegan Cajun-style sandwiches. Pizzerias include:
- Pizza Pi, Seattle
- Gianna's, Philadelphia
- T.J. Scallywaggle's, Boston
- The Pizza Research Institute, Eugene, Ore.
- Bella's Pizzeria, Norfolk, Va.
- Mac's Pizza Pub, Cincinnati
- Slice of Life, Sebastopol, Calif.
- Pizza Fusion, various locations
- The Rudyard Kipling, Louisville, Ky.
Each winner will receive a framed certificate from PETA.
