Pizza Hut cuts pie prices for Pizza Month

October 1, 2016

Pizza Hut is promoting National Pizza Month this October by offering customers two medium pizzas at $6.99 each, with the customer's choice of style, toppings, sauces and drizzles. Pizza Hut said the end-of-month Halloween holiday is one of the chain's three busiest days of the year, in a news release.

In the spirit of Pizza Month Pizza Hut provided a few statistics on the beloved pie's popularity and consumption:

  • 94 percent of Americans eat pizza once a month, at a rate of 46 pizza slices annually per person
  • Americans chow down about 100 acres of pizza daily, or about 350 slices a second
  • Favorite toppings are just about any type of meat, which 62 percent of diners prefer and pepperoni is the most popular, while 38 percent of pizza eaters want veggies on their pies.
