Pizza Inn's 'Express' concept multiplies in the Lone Star State

PIE, Pizza Inn's express concept, is off and running with another Texas location, this one in southeast Houston on South Sam Houston Parkway East near the city's Hobby Airport. The grab-and-go concept launched earlier this year and this is the second Texas unit, and third systemwide. 

"We ... thought that it would be a great way to offer customers more options when visiting our travel center," Franchisee Kiran Momin said in the release. "PIE is a new way to serve customers the same iconic, quality pizza they have come to expect from Pizza Inn, but in a faster setting, which is why it's perfect for our travel center. We are absolutely thrilled to open and start serving our fresh-made pizzas today."

Pizza will be served daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the "never-close" travel center. PIE has a low-entry cost and small footprint making it ideal for these types of transient locations.
