Rosati's Pizza unveils Reserve red wine brand

August 22, 2013 by Alicia Kelso — Editor, QSRWeb.com

Rosati's Pizza in Yorkville, Ill., will host a free wine tasting from 3 to 6 p.m. Aug. 25 to unveil the brand's Rosati's Reserve for the first time.

According to the company "Rosati's Reserve is the latest development in the Rosati family's five-generation quest to bring their patrons the perfect, authentic, Chicago pizza experience."

The red blend features a blend of Mendocino County grapes, with dark berry notes and spicy tones. The company said it began with the "Old World duet" of merlot and cabernet to create a fruit forward wine with "great structure and balanced acidity." Zinfandel and Syrah were also added to "bring balance and harmony."

The company's president, Marla Topliff, said most of the brand's new restaurants are pubs, including the Yorkville unit, which inspired the wine.
