Apparently the British crave pizza while waiting for the arrival of the heir to the throne. Last week, when Prince William and Kate went into labor, Domino's Pizza UK's orders jumped 20 percent.
According to the Independent, sales spiked Monday, July 22, especially for the brand's Pepperoni Passion.
"We were delighted the Royal Family contributed to our sales," CEO Lance Batchelor told the publication. "As Prince George made his appearance, we saw a 20 percent sales jump versus the previous week, and a 12 percent rise on the year before. A lot of people watched on TV and wanted someone else to cook for them."
