Sal's Pizza, a New England brand and official pizza of the Boston Red Sox, will donate hundreds of its new 14-inch cheese pizzas to Little League teams across Massachusetts and New Hampshire to celebrate Opening Day, according to a press release.

The donation begins Friday in Salem and will continue through May 9 with participating locations in Laconia, Bedford, Derry, Concord, Billerica, and Chelmsford. The initiative introduces a new 14-inch pizza and marks a partnership with Little League programs to support youth sports and community engagement.

"Opening Day is one of the most special moments of the year for kids and families," Sal Lupoli Jr., growth and strategy director of Sal's Pizza, said in the press release. "We're thrilled to be part of that excitement while introducing our new 14-inch pizza, designed to deliver both quality and real value to local communities. This is about more than pizza. It's about showing up for our communities, investing in kids, and creating opportunities for the next generation to succeed — on and off the field."

Beyond the initial donations, the company is launching season-long initiatives that include player discounts, fundraising nights, and revenue giveback programs where a portion of sales is returned to participating leagues.

"Massachusetts Little League is excited with the opportunity to partner with Sal's Pizza," John Berardi, state director of Massachusetts Little League, added in the press release. "The collaboration will help many Little League programs across the state. At the heart of Little League are the players, families and volunteers of each community. We are grateful to the Lupoli family, who recognize the importance of the community and the role that Little League Baseball and Softball play, which extends well beyond the ballfields."

The program continues a family legacy of community support led by founder Sal Lupoli Sr. and his son, Sal Lupoli Jr., a former professional football player who spent time with the New England Patriots.

Sal's Pizza, which operates more than 170 locations, said the effort is part of its mission to serve high-quality food while strengthening local communities.
