Uncle Maddio's expands in Charlotte area

July 21, 2016

Uncle Maddio's Pizza expanded in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, a company press release announced. The brand announced the opening of its third restaurant to be on July 22 at 345 S. Kings Drive, directly across from Trader Joe’s and the Metropolitan Center. To celebrate the opening, Maddio's announced promotional giveaways and contests for its guests.

"Our locations in Charlotte and Huntersville have been incredibly successful and we plan to build on that success for our third location," Jerry Licari, Uncle Maddio’s franchisee said in the release. "This is only the third of many Uncle Maddio’s we have planned for the greater Charlotte area."

The Charlotte unit is owned and operated by franchise partners Jerry Licari and Tim Verhagen, who have been contracted to open eight locations across the Charlotte area. This makes them one of the brand's largest franchisees, the report said.

"Jerry and Tim are proven franchisees that have built a great following in Charlotte," said Matt Andrew, CEO and founder of Uncle Maddio’s. "There is a lot of opportunity to build out new locations in around Charlotte and they are the guys to help us expand in the area."
