Urban Bricks adds paninis

Urban Bricks Pizza is adding oven-fired paninis with unlimited toppings. The menu offering gives guests the ability to build their own paninis with unlimited toppings or choose from one of four artisan foundation paninis, a news release said.

Those four varieties include Brickin Chicken, Turkey Hero, Caprese or Meatball, which can all be topped with any of 30 ingredients for a flat price of $6.99. Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., customers can pay a buck more and get a lunch special including a panini, soft drink and chips.

"We are excited to unveil our new paninis and provide our valued customers another menu option," CEO Sammy Aldeeb said in the release. "Our paninis feature everything our guests already love about our pizza - our house-made dough with revolutionary gluten free and wheat options, two-minute cook time and unlimited topping choices from over 30 premium ingredients."

The two-year-old San Antonio-based franchise is set to open more than 50 locations in the next three years, the release said.

The chain also distinguishes itself through the use of unusual customer-centric devices like automated handwashing stations and ultra-fast beer dispensers that fill glasses from the bottom up, as detailed in a recent Pizza Marketplace feature.
