Villa Italian Kitchen puts the pizza in the turkey ... literally

November 9, 2018

Quick-serve pizza brand, Villa Italian Kitchen, is hawking its pizzas as the base ingredients to one of the best new takes on Thanksgiving stuffing since, well, stuffing. The chain is spreading the word that its deluxe and meat lovers pizzas are easy to turn into some delectable turkey fillings with an Italian twist.

A news release around the campaign said that consumers can order full-sized deluxe or meat lovers pies with toppings of their choice and then take them home, cool them and cube the pies into 3/4-inch slices. Cooks can then mix those morsels with chicken broth, heavy cream and extra cheese, and either stuff that turkey with the concoction or bake it in a non-stick pan,

The nouveau accompaniment to that starring bird and mashed potatoes can even be made in advance and frozen to be baked on the big day. Or if yours is like most American households, just prepare the dish and put it in the 'fridge and it will be gone in no time flat.

The chain said the recipe for its stuffing can be accessed online at www.VillaItalianKitchen.com/Pizza-Stuffing, but you still have to pay for the pie that's the main ingredient and they run just under $16,
