Domino’s launches promo to push iPad orders

Domino's Pizza is spotlighting its new iPad ordering app by giving guests who order through the feature the chance to win free pizza for a year. Those who use the iPad app now through Sept. 30 will be automatically entered for the chance to win.

Domino's will randomly select one winner each week through Sept. 30, and customers who order on the iPad app will have the opportunity to enter once per day. Winners will receive free pizza for a year, awarded in the form of five $100 Domino's gift cards. 

"We wanted to celebrate the launch of Domino's most beautiful ordering app and encourage customers who haven't tried it yet to order in a whole new way," Spokesperson Chris Brandon said in a news release.

Digital ordering accounts for approximately 40 percent of Domino's sales in the U.S. In April, the company introduced its new iPad ordering app with new features such as:

  • 3-D custom pizza builder that uses the same technology as gaming and animation, according to the company;
  • Food photography that lets customers visualize their order; and
  • Automatic geolocation of the nearest Domino's store.
