Domino's UK delivering movies with its pizza

Oct. 30, 2012

Domino's Pizza UK has teamed up with Lionsgate UK, an independent filmed entertainment studio, to deliver movies with pizza through its new Domino's Pizza Box Office service.

Customers can now order their favorite pizza and also choose from a list of movies online through Domino's UK's website. Customers who confirm their orders will receive a code to begin the film download. The movies are then streamed directly through a PC/MAC, mobile device or tablet.

Domino's Pizza Box Office features the latest films for streaming rental at the same time as they are released on DVD, which is typically weeks before they are available on other subscription services. Current movies, for example, include The Hunger Games and What to Expect When You're Expecting. Classic movies such as Scream and Dirty Dancing are also available.

Films will be continually added to Domino's service.

"Everyone knows that pizza and film are a match made in heaven and with our new Domino's Pizza Box Office, there are even more good reasons to stay in and watch a great movie while you enjoy a piping hot pizza. We pride ourselves on offering a vast choice when it comes to pizza and the same is true of Domino's Pizza Box Office – whether you're into action, horror or rom-coms, there's something for every pizza eating occasion," said Simon Wallis, sales and marketing director for Domino's UK.

Domino's Pizza Box Office is available online only. Age restrictions apply. Minimum 2MB broadband and suitable compatible device is required. Movies will be available for 48 hours after redemption.

According to Marketing Week UK, Pizza Hut previously partnered with BlinkBox to offer movie downloads with pizza orders.
