Grotto Pizza opens first Pennsylvania location

Grotto Pizza has expanded its Pennsylvania footprint with the opening of a restaurant in Manheim Township, Lancaster County, according to a story on Fox 43.

The Delaware-based pizza chain opened the location Sept. 15 in the Lancaster Shopping Center. The 4,800-square-foot restaurant features seating for about 110 guests in the dining room, 48 bar seats and 18 televisions throughout the restaurant and bar. The opening also created approximately 43 jobs.

The Lancaster restaurant offers dine-in and carryout service and includes Grotto Pizza's sports-bar format. The company, founded in Delaware in 1960, operates restaurants across Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

During the planning process, Grotto Pizza President and CEO Jeffrey Gosnear said Lancaster was one of the areas most frequently requested by customers through the company's online feedback system.
