launches iOS mobile app

Oct. 25, 2013

The online ordering service announced the launch of its new iPhone app, bringing the functionality of the website to users' mobile phones. Customers will be able to search, find and order from thousands of local pizza restaurants across the country, the announcement said.

"I'm very excited about our iPhone app because it allows us to maintain our status as the easiest way to order pizza online," said Founder Ilir Sela. "In fact, we worked diligently to find a way for an order to be placed with less than five taps in some cases, and I'm proud to say we succeeded in achieving that goal with our app."

The application allows for orders to be paid for by cash or credit, removing the need to establish a personal account, the announcement said. In addition to the service being free to the user, the company said it offers exclusive deals with many of its participating restaurants.

Pizza restaurants also can join free of charge, however there is a flat fee for each order received. In exchange, restaurants gain the marketing power of a national brand, an online ordering system, a free website and various other marketing opportunities, the announcement said.
