Pie Five launches cauliflower crust LTO

Cauliflower is certainly having its moment and Pie Five is seizing that moment with a new cauliflower crust available until Feb. 11, a news release said. 

"Cauliflower is exploding in popularity due to its taste and amazing health benefits," Marketing Vice President Christina Coy said in a news release about the new offering. "We were inspired to incorporate this versatile veggie to create a healthier crust that is still super delicious. Now, with the debut of our cauliflower crust, health conscious guests don't have to cut pizza out of their diet."

Pie Five said the new cauliflower crust is gluten-free with only 40 net carbs, which is less than half of that in its other crust offerings. It also has less than half of the sodium found in other crusts and the company said it may also be a good option for diners with diabetes. 

The new choice joins with other varieties at the chain, including artisan thin, classic pan, traditional Italian and gluten-free. The Rave Restaurant Group brand and its sister brand, Pizza Inn, now have 300 locations globally.
