Pizza Hut LTO adds 'edible action' for day with no pro sports

Pizza Hut's latest LTO is paying a tongue-in-cheek tribute to a day when, somewhat incredibly, there will be no professional sports broadcast in the U.S. — Wednesday, July 18. The brand has brought back its Cheesy Bites Pizza to pay homage to the fact that for so many Americans a day with no pro sports action really "bites," a news said. 

The menu item is made with 28 cheese-filled bites in the place of the traditional crust, making it a kind of combined appetizer-entrée in one. The brand is sweetening the deal by giving its Hut Rewards program members who order the item online two points for every dollar spent, which can accrue to ultimately get them a free pizza. 

No end date was provided for the LTO, which is available for delivery, carryout or dine-in.
