Pizza Hut pushes online ordering with half-off deal

As we enter the nation's official "I'm totally broke" week after the holiday hulabaloo, Pizza Hut is sending some relief with a half-off pie promotion aimed squarely at getting customers to order online. From now through next Tuesday, Jan. 9, the chain will take 50 percent off all menu-priced pizza orders placed online, according to a news release.

"The weeks after the holiday season can be financially tight for many," Pizza Hut CMO David Timm said in a news release. "With this quick and easy offer, we're making sure Pizza Hut fans can enjoy the pizza they love without breaking the bank."

Orders can be made on the chain's website or via its mobile app for all carryout or delivered orders of pizza, but not other items on the brand's menu.
